Languages

If you need help in another language, we have a multi-lingual staff team with many languages or we can arrange for an interrupter. You can also access the Women’s Aid Survivors Handbook , which is available in various languages.

We will need information about the victim-survivor and why they need safe accommodation. If you are making a referral, we will need to speak to the victim-survivor about their situation. The referral is likely to include speaking to other agencies involved, and we will seek the victim-survivor’s consent to do so. We aim to complete the referral on the same day.

Our safe accommodation locations

DASSL safe accommodation locations are confidential for safety reasons. You will not be given any location details until we’ve accepted the referral and confirmed we have a space. Once a place is offered, referring agencies are asked to support victim-survivors to arrive safely, and to continue as a source of support during their stay with us.

DASSL safe accommodation spaces are in very high demand, so there might not always be space when you need it. Our team can assist you to find a space with another domestic abuse services if we do not have any at the time you contact us.
